Liposuction is traditionally done to decrease or debulk an area with stubborn fat. What makes a good liposuction result? Basically its your age. When you're young your elasticity is high and your collagen levels are high in your skin, and everything looks great when you have liposuction. As you age, your skin will become more lax. So if someone has accumulated fat in stubborn areas in the abdomen, we can perform liposuction, but how can we get a better skin tightening result to just liposuction?
If we use equipment to tighten the skin, we can get about 30% more skin tightening. So body tite can be done through a small opening inside the inner diameter of the belly button and these can be hidden very easily. Once I fill the abdomen with fluid, before liposuction, I can do bodytite.
I use a layer of ultrasound gel to protect the skin when using bodytite. Bodytite is like a pair of electrified forceps, one limb goes beneath the skin one is above the skin. I treat these areas like a pie chart, doing it in quadrants. We use a thermographic camera to evaluate the intensity of the treatment along with the feedback of the machine. After a limited treatment time, I actually tighten the skin in real time. I then perform liposuction. I thin this out, debulk the area, without a great deal of concern to loosen the skin too much.
At the end, when everything is cleansed and closed (the incisions for bodytite and liposuction cannula). I glue everything shut so there is limited chance for any type of bacterial infection., then we will do microneedling. I will start with Morpheus 8 Microneedling at different depths, 4mm usually sometimes 3mm . If there is a lot of stretchmarks, I like to use Fractora Microneedling. Its a fixed microneedling device but it really works on superficial issues like stretchmarks. This takes a couple of hours in the office under local.
