On what areas does Forma work?
The device can be used on any skin areas that could use benefit. Typically, the face is the primary treatment site, specifically the upper and lower eyelids, smile lines, the forehead, cheeks, and neck. Face and body areas that exhibit wrinkles, discoloration or acne scarring are suitable for treatment, including the décolletage, hands, and back.
How soon will I see results?
Results from the treatment can be noticed immediately, but it will be 1-2 weeks before full results resolve. Following this, slight improvements may continue up to three months after the final treatment. Results may vary.
What is the recovery time after Forma treatments?
Downtime associated with the procedure is minimal. To offset mild irritation or reddened skin, makeup can be used 1 to 2 days after the treatment. Patients should expect to see micro lesions a few days after treatment and slight redness for up to 1 week, of which both will then dissipate.
Why is it better than other types of laser technology?
Other—and, typically, older—lasers used for this type of therapy treat the entire surface of the skin, whether it needs it or not. Fractura only penetrate the microscopic holes and treats only the skin that requires treatment.
How long does it take to see results from Fractura treatments?
There may be a bit of redness or swelling for a day or two after a treatment, but results are typically noticeable virtually immediately. As more collagen is produced over time, the look of your skin will continue to improve, and final results will be visible within four to six weeks after the procedure.
What is the cost of Fractura treatments?
Several sessions may be required, depending on the problem(s) you want handled and the condition of your skin. Dr. Whitfield will discuss your options during your consultation and work with you to develop a treatment plan.
