A custom brow lift – natural-looking results.

The most critical point in an effective brow lift is proper positioning; it will look unnatural when the brow is placed too high. You don’t want a result that makes you appear as if you are in a constant state of surprise. Dr. Robert Whitfield is a board-certified plastic surgeon with over 20 years of experience, the experience needed to deliver a subtle, natural enhancement. A brow lift with Dr. Whitfield is about looking refreshed, not as if you have obviously had “work done.” In fact, no one will know why you look so well-rested, youthful, and rejuvenated.

Step one: Meet with Dr. Whitfield

If you are considering a brow lift, meet with Dr. Whitfield for a private consultation. He will perform a physical examination of your brow, taking measurements of your face, and assessing skin quality and elasticity. He will listen to what you hope to achieve with a brow lift, and answer all of your questions and concerns. A brow lift is a fully-customized procedure and may be one part of a more comprehensive facial rejuvenation.

Where are the incisions made in a brow lift?

A brow lift can reduce the horizontal lines across the forehead, improve the “eleven” lines between the eyebrows, and lift a sagging brow back to a more youthful position, making the eyes look more awake.

Dr. Whitfield performs what is called an endoscopic brow lift. This advanced approach to facial surgery involves the use of an endoscope, a tiny camera inserted within the brow structure, with the muscular condition revealed on a television monitor.

Types of incisions in a brow lift

A custom endoscopic brow lift can be performed with various techniques, including:

  • Coronal brow lift: Within the hairline
  • Lateral brow lift: Within upper eyelid crease
  • Temporal brow lift: At the temples
  • Trichophytic brow lift: For patients with higher hairlines

The best technique and approach will be based upon your anatomy, hairline and your personal goals.

Yes, I am.

What is the recovery time for a brow lift?

A brow lift may be performed as a single procedure but is often be combined with other facial rejuvenation procedures such as an upper or lower eyelid surgery, or a facelift.

You can expect to be bruised and swollen after your surgery. The swelling and bruising will soon fade, typically within one to two weeks, after which you should feel comfortable going back to your usual daily activities.

You should notice a marked improvement at ten days to two weeks, although swelling can last from weeks to months depending on the combination of surgical procedures performed.

Why choose Dr. Whitfield for a brow lift?

Not all facial surgeons are equal in skill, talent, and artistry. Dr. Whitfield is recognized for his high level surgical skills, professional, kind demeanor, and for consistently achieving exceptionally natural-looking results. If you are tired of seeing a drooping, heavy brow and are considering facial surgery, the most critical point in the success of treatment is the skills of your plastic surgeon.
