Your Upcoming Consultation

We are so proud of you for taking this step, and we are excited to meet you for your upcoming consultation. Dr. Whitfield will spend this appointment time hearing your story, giving advice, discussing your desired outcome and creating a surgical plan. Afterward, you will have time with the Patient Concierge and Surgery Coordinator to discuss the patient experience, review estimates and pricing in detail, and schedule surgery.

Preparing for your consultation

You should now have received an email with your new patient intake forms, we kindly ask that you complete these forms prior to your consultation to provide the doctor with your medical history.
You will receive a separate email from our Patient Care Coordinator with the meeting link to join the appointment, details about the photos we require, and instructions to the patient portal.

We recommend listening to Dr. Whitfield’s podcast before your appointment to learn more about his approach and protocol, this way you can make better use of your time with him, and spend more of your consultation discussing your specific situation.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • SHARP Lab Testing:  These labs are run before surgery
    • Total Toxicity: A urine sample that tests for mold, environmental toxins, mycotoxins, and heavy metals.  Glutathione should be taken for 2 weeks before taking the Total Toxicity test.  This will provide the most accurate results.
    • GI MAP: A stool sample that tests the gastrointestinal system for parasites, fungi, and bacteria
    • Food Sensitivity: A blood panel that tests over 250 foods
    • Blood and Hormone Panel: A full blood panel that tests kidney, liver, thyroid function, and hormones
    • NVISN Genome: A saliva sample that tests your specific DNA in-depth. (i.e. Pathways, metabolism, deficiencies, etc.)
  • What if I’ve already had lab work done?
    • We may be able to utilize your recent lab results without running them again
    • Must be within the last 90 days (with the exception of DNA)
    • Please have it uploaded to Symplast or emailed to your Patient Coordinator before your consultation
  • Payment:
    • Our payment options are debit, credit, cashier's check, ACH, and wire transfer. We also offer financing through PatientFi, they have no interest options available. If you are interested in financing, we recommend applying before your appointment so you can be aware of your options. You can do so here: www.drrobertwhitfield.com/ways-to-pay
    • We require payment to be made in-full, or financing finalized in order to secure and reserve a surgery date.
  • Fat Transfers:
    • Fat transfer at the time of explant surgery may be an option, however we must have the results of your TotalTox test back to confirm, as a high toxic burden may affect the results of your procedure.
    • Alternatively, we also offer fat transfer that can be done 6 months after your explant in the office under only local anesthesia.
  • When will I detox?
    • You will begin with Dr. Whitfield’s Inflammation Support Bundle to start reducing inflammation and opening the detox pathways. Once your surgery is scheduled, we will have you working with our Functional Medicine Practitioner who will create a custom detox protocol for you.
Should you need to cancel or reschedule your consultation, we require notice no less than 3 business days prior to the scheduled appointment. Late cancellations and no-shows are nonrefundable. Please give us a call at (877) 785-2832 if you need to adjust your appointment.
