At our office in Austin body sculpting is offered as a variety of different treatments that can shape, tone, tighten, or augment parts of the body without the need for invasive surgery. These methods tend to use external stimuli to affect cells beneath the skin, including heat, cold, RF frequencies, and electrical muscular stimulation.
These versatile techniques can be used to eliminate fat in troublesome areas, tone muscle, tighten skin, and otherwise sculpt the body into a healthier, natural look and feel; hence the term “body sculpting.”
Dr. Robert Whitfield’s extensive experience and passion for innovation in the field of body sculpting make the Austin plastic surgeon a highly sought after expert among both patients and fellow practitioners.
In addition to being one of Austin’s top doctors, Dr. Whitfield is past president of the research arm of The Aesthetic Surgery Education and Research Foundation (ASERF), a group that helps improve standards for plastic surgeons around the world. His research has led him to some incredible tools and techniques that can shape the body without surgery.
The common theme among body sculpting practices is that they all find nonsurgical methods to create cellular change beneath the surface. In many cases, the same type of application may be placed on different parts of the body or tuned to different settings to achieve different results.
Evoke is an exciting new breakthrough in nonsurgical facial remodeling developed by InMode. Evoke’s innovative approach utilizes radio frequency (RF) energy to revitalize the face and neck into a more youthful, natural appearance without invasive surgery. The RF energy targets subdermal cells in the face and neck through the skin.
RF energy has been used safely in medical treatments for more than 75 years. The true innovation in the Evoke system is that it is a hands-free, programmable way to isolate specific areas around the face and neck and better define them.
When you meet with Dr. Whitfield for an Evoke consultation, he will ask you what parts of your face and neck you would like to see better defined. Dr. Whitfield will then configure the Evoke applicator to your required settings and location. This makes the Evoke system an ideal social distancing procedure, as you do not need to have a doctor present in the room after the initial setup.
Evoke is particularly effective at increasing definition and tightening skin around the chin line, cheeks, jowls, and neck. See our Evoke page for more information on how this new technology can help revitalize your appearance is available on our Evolve page.
Evolve is another InMode hands-free innovation that uses RF energy to reshape the skin. While Evoke is tailored to revitalize the neck and face, the Evolve system can be used by Dr. Whitfield to reshape the body, fight cellulite, and even increase muscle tone.
Evolve is hands-free, pain-free, non-invasive, and fast, with real, noticeable – and most importantly, natural – results by the time you walk out the door.
Like Evoke, Evolve works by attaching applicators to the desired area. These applicators can apply a mix of RF energy, tissue vacuum, and electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) to shape and tone your tissue, skin, and muscle. The Evolve system breaks down into three technologies:
Evolve Tite uses RF energy to tighten and reshape the skin and remodel the tissues underneath it. Common areas of use are around the thighs, abdomen, and arms. Perfect for “Mommy Makeovers”, Evolve Tite can create noticeable improvements around these common areas for concern.
Evolve Tone uses electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) to cause repeated muscle contractions across a given area of the body. By targeting specific muscle groups, Evolve Tone can refine the appearance of muscles beneath the skin – and actually even make them a little stronger!
The process is usually broken up over 6 to 8 sessions, with each session lasting less than an hour. The procedure is pain-free, and in the end, you’ll feel like you’ve had a good workout – but without soreness or risk of injury.
Evolve Trim uses a blend of vacuum and RF Energy to attack subcutaneous fat from the outside. The result is a visible reduction in those hard to attack pockets of fat without the need for invasive procedures like liposuction.
Because the Evolve system can process multiple applicators at the same time, Dr. Whitfield can work on multiple parts of the body per session, resulting in a refreshed, natural improvement that you will definitely notice when you look in the mirror. Schedule a consultation with Dr. Whitfield to learn how Evolve can help you evolve your look, or go to our Evolve page for more information.
Fractora is an ingenious body sculpting treatment that uses fractional rejuvenation and resurfacing techniques to reduce wrinkles and combat the visual cues of aging to create a more youthful appearance.
Fractional rejuvenation is a procedure that uses an external source (typically a laser or other source of heat) to create narrow pillars of coagulation in the deeper parts of the skin. As these coagulated pillars heal from within, they push new, rejuvenated skin up to the surface. This lessens the appearance of discoloration, age spots, wrinkles, and other signs of aging.
Fractora takes this procedure to the next level by including metal pins that puncture the skin at the point of coagulation at various depths. The punctures are minimally invasive and technically nonsurgical (think acupuncture), but they have the benefit of amplifying the healing properties of the procedure.
The results greatly reduce the visibility of skin blemishes, acne scars, wrinkles, and other skin imperfections. As part of your consultation, Austin body sculpting plastic surgeon Dr. Whitfield will answer any questions you might have about adding Fractora to your skincare treatment plan.
Morpheus is a form of microneedling that is similar in concept to fractional rejuvenation and resurfacing. However, the Morpheus body sculpting technique uses RF energy pulses in combination with microneedling to create healthy, glowing skin without the need for invasive surgery.
Morpheus uses RF energy to stimulate collagen production beneath the skin. When combined with a microneedle treatment, Morpheus is able to maximize the rejuvenating power of collagen to far exceed the results typically associated with microneedle treatments. More information on this exciting new treatment option can be found on our Morpheus page.
EmbraceRF includes multiple RF energy treatments in one package to maximize the effectiveness of each treatment. A combination of AccuTite, FaceTite, and Morpheus8 in a coordinated effort to tighten skin, reduce signs of aging, and accentuate facial definition. The result is a complete facial rejuvenation – without having to undergo invasive surgery. In fact, the entire EmbraceRF process is done right in our office and requires only local anesthesia, with little to no downtime following the treatment.
FaceTite rounds out InMode’s RFAL line with a device contoured specifically to liquefy facial fat and tighten skin. This non-surgical facelift requires only a small incision to insert the cannula but requires only local anesthesia and no sutures around the incision site. FaceTite requires zero downtime. With FaceTite, you can experience the rejuvenating feeling of a facelift without having to undergo invasive facelift surgery.
BodyTite technology is an RFAL-assisted body contouring procedure to amplify skin tightening.
BodyTite allows Dr. Whitfield to target areas of the body that would generally be candidates for traditional liposuction, such as the belly, thighs, love handles, hips, back, and other areas where we store fat that can prove to be difficult to get rid of through diet and exercise.
Unlike traditional liposuction, BodyTite uses its RFAL technology to produce tighter skin and faster healing. This minimally invasive procedure is done in Dr. Whitfield’s Austin office with local anesthesia. Some swelling following the procedure can be expected, but patients can return to daily life immediately, and begin exercising only a few days after treatment.
